May the 4th be With you 'Tie Fighter' Anime Review

It's Star Wars day today and Star Wars week on Tokengeekery so for my anime instalment this week I wanted to talk about a gorgeous anime inspired film that I discovered last year. The short film 'Tie Fighter' created by Star Wars fan Paul Johnson over a four year period. The anime is done in the style of the old 80's Akira and Robotech anime. This visually stunning anime fan piece is about a battle between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance and the Empire is kicking ass!

What stuck me was that there is no dialogue but the coolest electric guitar piece reminiscent of everything you loved about 80s anime soundtracks. Click above and check it out for yourself!
